Parents of my GGrandfather, Hugh A. Gunn. I found Hugh's sister Catherine (Gunn) Clauss (1867-1959) buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetary, Glascow, Reade Twp, Cambria Co, PA. Comments: d/o Daniel & Catherine (McKenzie) Gunn, born in Joggins Mines, Nova Scotia, w/o George W. Clauss, "Mother"
Catherine (McKenzie) Gunn was born 25 Sep 1842 (Nova Scotia) and died 15 Apr 1892 in Coalport, Pa. She married Daniel Gunn (1840-1890) in 1861, probably in Pictou, NS. This is information I have in a note, "Daniel Gunn was in a mine with his 21 y/o son Hugh checking how much coal had come down after a dynamite shot. Daniel went to straighten up a prop and it collapsed and fell on him, killing him - This was in Coalport, PA - probably mine #5 - 1890."
I believe Daniel and Catherine are buried in BEAVER VALLEY CEMETERY, although I do not have any verification.
How can I find out more information on Daniel and Caherine? ...when they came to PA? I'm hoping someone has some information on these folks.

Other: main lines are Ott and Berkey. My Ott line is from Germany, I have that history Johannes Peter Ott, Sr., came over here in 1850, I run off the Peter Ott, Jr. line.
I come off the Joseph Berkey and Elizabeth Misler line. I have that line also.
