Union Cemetery
Cresson Township
Cambria County, Pennsylvania

Information transcribed and contributed by Linda Crichton Miko and Mary Lou Crichton George.

Photo contributed by Linda Miko

At the very far left of the cemetery is where part of Union Cemetery serves as a final resting place for people who resided at the Lawrence Flick Tuberculosis Sanitarium or the Cresson State School & Hospital operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. Several graves in that section are marked only with a number, others with a simple marker. A monument stands "in sincere appreciation to those who worked for and contributed to the restoration of this cemetery. Altoona, Cresson, Ebensburg association, the clients and staff of Ebensburg center, community churches and individuals. Rededicated November 1986." See photos of these.
