Thursday, 17 Jan 1833 CAPHART, Chamberlain, youngest son of John, aged 1y and 11m, died of scarlet fever in the Boro of Conemaugh on Sunday last. EVANS, Evan, of this place and Mary DAVIS, daughter of John, from near this place, married Thursday last at Ebensburg by Rev. Thomas E THOMAS. Thursday, 24 Jan 1833 JONES, Thomas, son of Richard, near this place, died Thursday last, aged 9 months and 3 weeks. Thursday, 31 Jan 1833 FAIRMAN, ????? (Mr.) of Pittsburgh, and Sarah MCKINZIE, daughter of John of Summerhill Twp married Tuesday, 22 inst, at Loretto by Rev. D. A. GALLITZIN. GARBER, David, of Jefferson, Cambria County and Eliza POWER, daughter of General Samuel POWER of Beaver, Pa., married Tuesday, 22nd inst. Thursday, 7 Feb 1833 HOOVER, Francis, of Newry, Huntingdon County, and Mary WHARTON of Ebensburg, married Sunday last by Rev. James BRADLEY. Thursday, 21 Feb 1833 MCGUIRE, Michael and Margaret BOSTICK, both of Allegheny Twp., married Tuesday, 12th inst, at Loretto, by Rev. D. A. GALLITZIN. Thursday, 7 Mar 1833 BLAIR, Barbara, widow of John Esq., died Friday last at Blairs Gap, Huntingdon County. Thursday, 14 Mar 1833 FRANCIS, Humphrey and Elizabeth MORGAN, daughter of Rees, of this place, married Thursday last by Rev. George ROBERTS. Thursday, 21 Mar 1833 TEETER, Mary Ann, wife of Major Isaac of Ebensburg, died Tuesday last, aged 29 years, leaving a husband and 5 children between the 3 weeks and 6 years. DAVIS, Evan, died Tuesday last, aged about 25 years. A native of Wales, and a resident of U.S. less than one year. Has a sister in or near Baltimore. Thursday, 28 Mar 1833 GEORGE, Philip, aged 68 years, died Tuesday last at his residence in Summerhill Twp. TRIMBLE, Samuel T., and Matilda APPLETON, daughter of Dr. E., married Thursday last, at the Tunnel on the Portage Railroad, by Rev. James SANSAM. Thursday, 4 Apr 1833 LONG, John, died Friday last, near this place, leaving a wife to lament his loss. MCCOY, Hugh, died August last in Texas, formerly of Cambria County, aged upwards of 90 years. Thursday, 2 May 1833 CONNOR, James, of Allegheny Twp., Cambria County, died Tuesday last at the advanced age of 94 years. A native of Ireland. Came to U.S. prior to the Revolution, and served in the defense of his adopted country. BRACKENRIDGE, William Esq., youngest son of the late Judge BRACKENRIDGE, died Thursday, the 25th of last month, at Pittsburgh. He committed suicide by cutting his throat with a razor. Thursday, 16 May 1833 GRICE, George and Nancy RITZ, both of Cambria County, married Tuesday last in Ebensburg by Arnold DOWNING. NOEL, Joachim, and Mary Ann CHRISTY, all of Allegheny Twp., married Tuesday, 7th inst, by Rev. D. A. GALLITZIN. LEWS, Ann, wife of Rev. David, late of Ebensburg, died Tuesday, 7th inst, near Blairsville, aged about 31 years. Thursday, 23 May 1833 WISE, General John H., of Brookville, formerly of Greensburg, died Monday, 13 inst, by hanging himself, formerly Prothonotary of Westmoreland County. He was a Brigadier General in the militia. TREXLER, Peter, of Clearfield Twp., and Ann DONAHOE, of Allegheny Twp., married Tuesday last, by Rev. D. A. GALLITZIN. Thursday, 30 May 1833 BRUCE, George, of Ebensburg and Julianna KINNEY of Summerhill Twp married Sunday last at Loretto by Rev. D. A. GALLITZIN. BUCHANAN, Clarinda (Miss), youngest daughter of James, died Wednesday, 21st inst, at Hollidaysburg of pulmonary consumption. BANICLE, Michael, of Susquehanna Twp. aged 33, died 14th inst at Cincinnati of cholera after a few weeks of absence from his home. Leaves a wife and four small children. BATMAN, Wesley and Jane THOMAS, both of near this place, married Tuesday last by Rev. George ROBERTS. Thursday, 6 Jun 1833 WILSON, Major John, died in the harbor of Mantanzas, on 27th of April last, while on return to his family in Philadelphia, formerly of Charlestown, South Carolina, and of late, principal engineer on the Columbia and Philadelphia Railroad. Thursday, 13 Jun 1833 FRAZIER, Rudolph, and Esther EGNEW, both of the Northern Liberties, married Thursday, 6th inst, at Pittsburgh by James BLAKELY Esq. RHEY, James, eldest son of John of Pittsburgh and late student at Jefferson College, died 1st inst., of the cholera, between Wheeling and Cincinnati, after 12 hours of illness. Thursday, 20 Jun 1833 IVORY, Rebecca, wife of Matthew of Bedford County and mother of John IVORY of Ebensburg, died Saturday last in her 67th year. Thursday, 27 Jun 1833 GILLINS, Andrew, and Hannah JONES, both of Ebensburg, married Thursday last by Rev. George ROBERTS. Thursday, 11 Jul 1833 CHANDLER, Joseph R, editor of the "U.S. Gazette" and Maria H JONES, daughter of Benjamin, all of Ebensburg, married Wednesday evening, 03 Jul 1833, at St. Johns Church by Rev. Mr. HUGHES. Thursday, 1 Aug 1833 COFFEE, John (General), a distinguished officer in the late war, died 7 ult., 1833 at Florence, Alabama. PATTON, Mary, wife of Joseph Esq. of Frankstown, Huntingdon County, died Monday last. BRANERIDGE, William (Commodore) a brave and meritorious officer of the American Navy, died Saturday last at Philadelphia. DOUGLAS, Samuel Esq., formerly Attorney General of Pennsylvania, died 21s ult., at Harrisburg. Thursday, 8 Aug 1833 RIPPEY, George, one of the editors of the "Pennsylvania Argus", died Sunday, 28th of last month, at Greensburg, in his 24th year. ROWLANDS, David, son of Griffith H. of Ebensburg, died Friday last, aged 3m 9d. FOX, A. (Mr.), died Monday last at Pittsburgh of congestive fever, the result of cholera. Thursday, 22 Aug 1833 EVANS, Esther, wife of John J, died Sunday evening last, near Beula, in her 66th year. She was one of the first settlers in this part of Cambria County. She and her husband had resided many years in Beula, now an abandoned town. She had been living on a farm in the neighborhood of her former residence. Buried in Beula Graveyard on Tuesday, 20 Aug, attended by a very large number of friends and neighbors. Thursday, 29 Aug 1833 MCDONALD, Owen, son of Owen Esq., of Ebensburg, died Thursday last, after a long sickness, aged 7 years. Thursday, 6 Sep 1833 NEFF ???? and Elizabeth BRUER, married Tuesday last, by Rev. Maurice JONES. BROWN, Thomas and Margaret ROBERTS daughter of John, of near Ebensburg, married Tuesday last by Rev. D A GALLITZIN. DIXON, Curtis F, engineer, and Ann RHEY, daughter of James, merchant of Ebensburg, married Friday last by Rev. James BRADLEY. JONES, Robert and Mary WILLIAMS, both of Cambria County, married Saturday last by Rev. Thomas WILLIAMS. Thursday, 12 Sep 1833 CONNOR, Michael, and Mary MARTIN, married Tuesday, 3rd inst, at the Viaduct by Rev. T. MAGIRR. Thursday, 19 Sep 1833 JOHNSON, Mary, relict of Thomas, late of Jackson Twp, dec'd., died at the town of Jefferson, Cambria County, Thursday last, after a long illness. Thursday, 26 Sep 1833 ORR, Robert, one of the associate judges of Armstrong County, died at his residence in Kittanning, Wednesday, 4th inst in his 89th year. He was born in County Derry, Ireland. He came to the United States in 1766, from then to 1774 he resided east of the mountains. He married ???? CULBERTSON of Cumberland County in 1774. He removed to Westmoreland County and settled in Hannastown in 1774. He was a Revolutionary War veteran. Thursday, 3 Oct 1833 COTTERMAN, Samuel H. or M., died Sunday morning last in Ebensburg. Thursday, 10 Oct. 1833 BIRCHFIELD, -------, child of Mr. BIRCHFIELD, a conductor on the railroad. The child was standing near the fire where his mother was washing on Thursday evening last when it's clothing accidentally took fire, and before the flames could be extinguished it was so severely burnt that it died the next morning. Thursday, 24 Oct 1833 MCCLOSKEY ????? and Rosanna MCGLAUGHLIN, both of Cambria County, married Wednesday, inst, by Rev. T. MAGIRR. JONES, Thomas D, carpenter, aged about 30 years, died in Ebensburg Friday last, after a long illness. He was a native of Wales. DIVIT, Patrick M., died Tuesday last at Conemaugh. Thursday, 31 Oct 1833 DAVIS, David, died Friday last at the house of his son-in-law, Rev. Festus TIBBITT, in the vicinity of Ebensburg, aged 76 years. ROBERTS, John and Elizabeth ROBERTS, all of Cambria Twp, married Thursday last, by Rev Thomas WILLIAMS. CONNOR, Henry, a soldier of the Revolution, died at his residence in Allegheny Twp on Friday last, aged 106 years. GITTINS, William, Jr., and Mary MORRIS, all of Cambria Twp married last by Rev. Morris JONES. Thursday, 14 Nov 1833 REES, David, of near Ebensburg, died this morning after a long indisposition leaving a wife and seven children, of whom the eldest is only 13 years of age. He was 40 years old. GLASS, Henry and Sophia BURKE, both of Allegheny Twp, married Sunday last by Rev. D. A. GALLITZIN. GLASS, William, of Indiana County, and Mary Ann MILLAR, daughter of John G. of Susquehanna Twp, married Tuesday, 05th inst, by Rev. D. A. GALLITZIN. Thursday, 21 Nov 1833 PIPER, William General, late of the state senate, from Bedford County, and Catherine WHITEHILL of Harrisburg, married Friday last in Harrisburg, by Rev. Mr. DEWITT. "Better late then never". Thursday, 28 Nov 1833 PRIESTLEY, Jane, wife of Shepley, Esq., postmaster of Conemaugh Borough, died Friday last, in her 49th year. TREESTER, Margaret, wife of John and daughter of John MCKINZIE of Summerville Twp., died Friday last, in her 27th year. TEETER, Major Isaac and Mary MCILROY, both of Ebensburg, married this day. by Rev. George ROBERTS. Thursday, 5 Dec 1833 WOLFE, Mary, consort of Governor of Pennsylvania, died Wednesday evening, 27th ult., in Harrisburg. CANAN, Mary, wife of Moses Esq., of Ebensburg and mother of one of the editors of this paper, died 4th ins. 1833, after a long and severe illness, in her 49th year. Buried in the graveyard east of Ebensburg. Thursday, 12 Dec 1833 APPLETON, E. (Dr.) late of Cambria County, and Mrs. Sarah MCCORMICK of Pittsburgh married at Pittsburgh the 21st ult by Rev. M. RUER. Thursday, 26 Dec 1833 CHAMBERLAIN, Joseph (Captain) and Jane LINTON, daughter of the late John Esq., of Conemaugh, married Monday last by Rev. Mr. TERRY.
