DIED OF TYPHOID FEVER
John Humphreys, a Well-Known Young Man of Cambria Township
John Humphreys, son of Edward J. Humphreys, whose residene is in Cambria Township, near Ebensburg, expired at his home last Saturday evening of typhoid fever, from which he had been suffering for the past three months.
A few weeks ago Mrs. David Jones of Ebensburg, a sister of the deceased, died of the same disease, having contracted it from her brother a few days after she had gone to attend him.
Mr. Humphreys was twenty years of age, and is survived by his parents, three sisters, and three brothers, asfollows: Mrs. Joseph Pringle of Conemaugh; Misses Hattie and Eldora, and Wallace, David and Harry. He was a nephew of Messrs. John J. Humphreys of this city and Richard, of Coopersdale.
The funeral took place at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev. R. Sirhowy Jones, pastor of the Ebensburg Congregational Church, of which Mr. Humphreys was a member, conducted the obsequies, after which interment was made in Lloyd's Cemetery, at Ebensburg. |
