Remarks:   Pearl "Boo" Stafford, 71, of Frankstown Road, Sidman, died Friday, April 19, 2002, at home. Born June 22, 1930, in South Fork, she was the daughter of William A. Sr. and Stella M. (Giles) Stafford. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William A. Stafford Jr.; sister, Harriet Howe; sister-in-law, Josephine Klock; and brothers-in-law, George Shaw and Melvin Howe. Survivors include these brothers and sisters: Richard, Greengate, Mich.; Robert, married to the former Alfareta Adams, Northern Cambria; Mary Shaw, Canton, Ohio; Irene "Jo", wife of David Crute, South Fork; Sandra, wife of Terry Reighard, Sidman; and sister-in-law, Rita (O'Hara) Stafford, North Carolina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends. Pearl lost her two and one-half year battle with cancer, but won the victory of eternal life through her Saviour Christ Jesus. She was employed in the payroll department of Penelec for 38 years. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, South Fork, where she was a member of the Ladies Philathea Bible Class, Elderberries Fellowship and Alley Cats Bowling League. Pearl also took part in water aerobics at the YMCA. Friends were received Sunday, April 21 at the Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Viewing at the First United Methodist Church was held one hour prior to the funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22. The Rev. Ed Jenkins officiated. Interment was in South Fork Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Windber Hospice.
