MRS. MARY A. HUGHES.
The lady whose name appears above, wife of Mr. John E. Hughes, expired about half past 8 o'clock this morning. She was ill but a few hours. Her infant scarcely a day old, died last evening. Mrs. Hughes was a daughter of John Champeno, of Peelorville, and is the second in a family of eleven children, six daughters and five sons, to be called away, the first, a son, John M. Champeno, having been killed in a railroad accident near Pittsburgh about two years ago. Mrs. Hughes was not yet nineteen years of age. She was married when a little over seventeen years old.
Information on her death has been sent to her brothers and other relatives at a distance by telegram.
