ELDER, Frank H.

SOURCE NOTATION:
Cambria Freeman, 29 Oct 1880, Contributed by Lisa Baker

Frank H. Elder, a brakeman on extra freight west Tuesday evening, fell to the track, while in the act, as is supposed, of jumping from one car to another, just as the cars separated by the breaking of a coupling, and was run over and killed almost instantly, his right arm and leg being cut off and the right side of his head crushed in. Where the accident happened the Johnstown Tribune, from which we quote, don't state. Deceased was a single man, aged about 22 years, and lived three miles west of Derry.
