GORE -- H. Lee "Red," 73, Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Schellsburg and Johnstown, died Oct. 14, 1993, at the home. Born June 21, 1920, in Johnstown, son of Walter and Carrie (Miller) Gore. Preceded in death by parents, first wife, Frances (Higgins) Gore; second wife, Irene (Mortimore) Gore; brothers, Leslie, Wilford, Warren, Clayton and Walter; and sisters, Evelyn, Wanora, and Viola. Survived by children: Linda, Michael, Eileen, Cathy and Cheryle, and grandchildren, Becky Gore, Matthew and Leanne Saylor, and Carrie and Jill Bruce. Member of Berkley Hills Christian Church; Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Schellsburg, Junior Order of United American Mechanics, Number 72, Johnstown Council; and Local 2644, USWA. Longtime blood donor. Retired from boiler shop of Bethlehem Steel Corp. Served in Army in World War II and Korean Conflict. No viewing at the family's request. Memorial service, 11 a.m., Saturday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, the Rev. David A. Gray. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
