Bishop Henry H. Blough, of the Mennonite Church, died at his home in Springs, Somerset County, on Wednesday afternoon, in his sixty-seventh year. The cause of his death was paralysis. The deceased was born at Davidsville and was a son of Bishop and Mrs. Jacob Blough. He was married many years ago to Miss Catherine Keim, daughter of Bishop and Mrs. David Keim, who survives him with the following children: Jacob, of Holsopple; William, of near Rockwood; Ephraim, at home, and Harvey, Elias, and Carrie, wife of Jacob Kaufmann, all of near Davidsville. He is also survived by thirty grandchildren, and two brothers -- A. W. Blough, of Johnstown, and Bishop Jonas Blough, of Krings. Two brothers are dead, Joseph W. and Jacob W., the latter father of J. A. Blough, the well-known newspaper correspondent of this city.
The funeral took place at 10 o'clock this forenoon from the Elklick Mennonite Church, where the services were conducted by Elders Gideon and Edward Miller, interment being made in the church cemetery. |
