Mrs. Samuel Berkebile.

Mary C. McVicker Berkebile, wife of Samuel Berkebile, who died at 9 o'clock Tuesday night at the Berkebile home, No. 175 Spruce street, Twentieth Ward, was born in Bedford County fifty-eight years, six months, and eight days ago. She had been sick for five or six months wi general debility. The Berkebile family came to Johnstown from Bedford County eighteen years ago. Mrs. Berkebile is survived by her husband, two sons -- Frank, of Ligonier, and Roman, at home; three daughters -- Minnie, wife of James Felix, of Lower Yoder Township; Ella, wife of Emras Gilbert of the Nineteenth Ward, and Lizzie, wife of N. B. Messersmith, also of the Nineteenth Ward, and two brothers -- George McVicker, of Bedford County, and Duncan, of Kansas -- as well as two sisters. The funeral will take place at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, when the Rev. W. F. Hunter, assisted by the Rev. W. E. Bassett, will conduct the obsequies. The remains will be laid to rest in Grand-View Cemetery. Mrs. Berkebile was a member of the Methodist Church.
