HUNT.- In this city, on Monday afternoon, 5th inst., of consumption, Miss Sadie Hunt, aged about 28 years.

The subject of the above notice was a young lady of sterling worth, widely esteemed for her social qualities, and noted for the purity of her life. Born in this place, having always resided here, she was known by nearly every man, woman, and child, and few persons are ever blessed with more or warmer friends than almost all her acquaintances were. She began to teach school at a very age, and was engaged in that vocation until the middle of last May, when she was compelled to close by the condition of her health. For some years she had been at intervals, afflicted with a cough which seemed as often to have been conquered, until its appearance last winter, when it kept growing in force until that fatal disease, consumption, developed itself, and increasing weakness compelled her to abandon school-teaching. As is almost always the case with those afflicted with this disease, Miss Hunt rallied at times, and seemed to be recovering, only to relapse into a more critical condition than before, until finally, about the time the ripe crops are being gathered, she was plucked from early, and transferred to her Heavenly Father's garner. Miss Hunt was a truly pious woman, was a consistent member of the Church of Christ, and died in full faith that her lot would be cast with those to whom Christ say, "Enter ye into the joy of your Lord."
