OBITUARY
MICHAEL FARBAUGH
Michael Farbaugh died at the home of his son Charles in Blacklick Twp. on Tuesday, March 16, 1897 in his 87th year. Born in Kappel-am Rhein, Baden, Germany in 1810. At the age of 20 years, he entered the army and served 5 years. After this he married. Sometime later his wife died leaving him a son, Charles, and a daughter Josephine. Mr. Farabaugh married a second time and in 1854 came to America with his family and settled near Nicktown. In 1871 he went west and settled in Minnesota where he resided to July 1896 when he returned to Cambria County and spent the remainder of his life with the family of his son Charles, where he died. |
