PAUL - Freda E. (Fuller), 91, of Girard, formerly of Ebensburg, died June 19, 2004, at home. Born May 6, 1913, in Fishertown, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth M. (Oswalt) Fuller. Preceded in death by sisters, Nora Goghnour, Lillian Wells, Norma Paul, Ruth Bane and Ada Ditchcreek, and brothers, James, John, Albert and Benjamin Fuller. Survived by husband, Clifford A. Paul, whom she married, June 16, 1951, in Cumberland, Md.; daughters, Mary Jane (Theys) Wilson, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Deronda (Donnie) J. Wilson, Cranesville; and Cheryll A. Stiles, and her husband, Mark, of Roswell, N.M.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Fuller, South Fork; and several nieces and nephews. Freda was raised and educated in South Fork, where she lived until 1951, when she moved to Ebensburg, where she lived until recently moving to Girard to live near her family. During World War II, she worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad in the Conemaugh yard as a mechanics assistant. She had been a homemaker throughout the remainder of her life, where her family was her priority. She also spent many winters in the Lakeland, Fla., area during her retirement years. She was an active member of the Ebensburg Church of the Nazarene, where she was past missionary president, Sunday school teacher and secretary of the Nazarene Church board. Freda enjoyed crocheting, crafting and reading Christian articles. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. C. Edward Albert officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fredas memory may be made to Nanty Glo Church of the Nazarene, 1125 Cambria St., Nanty Glo, Pa. 15943. |
