Mrs. Lemon L. Kaufman, whose maiden name was Minnie Keafer, died Monday at the Memorial Maternity Hospital, her death being due to uremic poisoning. She was a daughter of Adam and Mary (Speigler) Keafer, of Upper Yoder Township. The body was prepared for burial by Undertaker Pendry and the funeral took place from the Kaufman home at Benscreek, Somerset County, on Wednesday, with burial in Grandview Cemetery. The deceased was born in Upper Yoder Township, June 17, 1880, and is survived by her husband and the following children: Mary, Ada, and Sara, and by her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Martin H., Rudolph A., and Earl J., all married and living in Upper Yoder Township; Elma, wife of William Green, of George Street, this city; Bertha, wife of George T. Redick, of Conemaugh Township, and Ada, wife of E. Graham Hammer, of Tillman Avenue, this city. Mrs. Kaufman was converted several years ago at the U. B. Mission in Upper Yoder Township, but recent transferred her membership to the Church of Jesus Christ.
