Mrs. John Karlheim

PATTON, Jan. 5 -- Mrs. Mary, wife of John Karlheim, of 2424 Oak avenue, Altoona, one of the members of the pioneer Nagle family of northern Cambria County, died this afternoon from the effects of a paralytic stroke, sustained about a week ago. She was aged about 62 years. Burial will take place Wednesday morning from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Altoona.

She is survived by her mother; three sisters--Mrs. George Biller, Cresson; Mrs. Richard McMullen, Altoona, and Miss Minnie Nagle, Clearfield Township--and a brother, Aaron Nagle of Patton.

Her mother, Mrs. Catherine Nagle, is in her 94th year and is living on their farm in Clearfield Township, near Chest Springs, taking an active part in the farm work. While a small girl, Mrs. Nagle sat upon the knees of both her grandfathers, Richard Nagle and John Baum, who fought in the Revolutionary War. The Nagle family is a part of the old pioneers who settled in this section of Cambria County more than a hundred years ago and who aided materially in the development of this section.
