Nicandro, Joseph F., 63, Johnstown, died March 29, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 31, 1938, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by beloved wife of 38 years, former Patricia Holtzman; children, Dorothy and Joseph, both of Johnstown; sister, Grace, married to Deacon Herman Lux, Johnstown; and brother, Bob. Also survived by many nieces and nephew, and close friend, Ross DiBuono Jr. and family. Retired from Ross's Market. He was an avid sports fan. Member of Sons of Italy 1614 and St. John Gualbert Cathedral, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, downtown chapel, corner of Jackson and Locust streets. Sons of Italy Ritual will be held at 7 p.m. Committal, St. John Cemetery. |
