Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine (Alwine) Eash, widow of Jacob Eash, who died yesterday afternoon in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, will be held at the Kauffman Mennonite Church at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning and will be in charge of the Rev. E.J. Blough, of Davidsville, and the Rev. Clayton Graybill of Martinsburg, Blair County. Burial will be made in the Eash family cemetery.

Mrs. Eash's death was due to pneumonia, from which she had been a sufferer for several days. Mrs. Eash fell at her home last fall and fractured her collarbone. She did not fully recover from this accident.

Catherine Alwine was born in Conemaugh Township February 6, 1843 and was united in marriage with Jacob Eash in 1877, the latter having died nine years ago. For the past 11 years, Mrs. Eash made her home with Sam Eash. Mrs. Eash is survived by the following children: Tobias Eash, Jonathan Eash and Mary, wife of Charles Kaltenbaugh, all residing near Davidsville; Harry A. Eash, Holsopple; Anna, with of David Eppley, Centennial Church; George and Samuel A., near Kauffman Church. Mrs. Eash is also survived by the following step-children: Joseph J. Eash and John K. Eash, both of Davidsville; Lydia, wife of Solomon Eppley, Forwardstown; Levi K. Eash, Ingleside, and Gertrude, widow of Samuel Jones, Holsopple. A large number of grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.
