|NEARY--In Johnstown, Twelfth Ward, at No. 204 Ebensburg Road, on Sunday morning, April 17, 1898, at 3:30 o'clock, Mary, widow of Patrick Neary, in her 61 year. Funeral from St. John's Catholic Church at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning; interment in the church graveyard at Geistown|

...the Summit, where he died from the effects of his wounds, about forty-six years ago. Mrs. Mary Murray, mother of Mrs. Neary died in this country in 1864. The deceased was married in this city to Patrick Neary July 30, 1854. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Carney, who was then pastor of St. John's Roman Catholic Church which stood at that time at the head of Church street, Tenth Ward.
She is survived by one daughter, Maggie, wife of John Stinely, Proprietor of the Twelfth Ward Hotel, and one sister, Mrs. Honor McGraw, of Danville, Pa. Mrs. Neary was a member of the Catholic Church all her life. She was confirmed soon after her parents came to this country and when she came here to make her home she became a member of St. John's congregation.
