Funeral of Pvt. Hunter

SCALP LEVEL, Sept. 7. - Private Roy Hunter, son of Mrs. Elsie Jane Hunter, of Main Street, this place, who was killed by a high explosive shell in France during the World War, was given a military funeral here on Sunday afternoon. Services were conducted in the Lutheran Church, and were in charge of the Rev. Dr. J. Q. A. Curry, pastor of the local United Evangelical Church, of which the deceased was a member, assisted by the Rev. J. E. Dale, pastor of the Lutheran Church. Interment was made in the Lutheran Cemetery. Private Hunter was buried with military honors by members of Windber Post, American Legion.
