Remarks:   John S. Farabaugh, 52, a former resident of Spangler and South Fork, died last Thursday at his home in Detroit, Mich., after an illness of four days of pneumonia. Mr. Farabaugh served a number of years as brewmaster at the old Spangler Brewery. Later he became brewmaster at the South Fork Brewing Company plant and remained there until four years ago when he moved to Detroit, Mich., to assume a similar position with the Stroh Brewing Company.

During the time Mr. Farabaugh was located in Spangler he operated a small mine in Indiana county. He was a son of Alber and Martha (McNeil) Farabaugh and was born in Pine township, Indiana county. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret (Wyland) Farabaugh, and these children: Donald, Raymond, Hilda and Willard Farabaugh, all of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Joseph Pfeister, Ferndale, Mich.; Mrs. Kennedy Witt, Detroit, Mich.; and Miss Elma Farabaugh, a registered nurse located at the Cresson Sanatorium.

The funeral services were conducted at 9 o'clock Monday morning in St. Francis Xavier's Catholic church at Cresson. Interment was in the church cemetery.
