Noah Lohr Died at His Home in Washington Last Sunday.
Indiana, Sept. 26. - Noah Lohr, a former resident of this place and Treasurer of Indiana County for one term, died at his home in Washington, D. C., on Sunday afternoon, aged seventy-seven years. He is survived by his wife, who was formerly Mary McGee, of this place, and four children - Charles and Annie, of Washington, D. C.; Harry, of Pittsburg, and Frank, of Greensburg. The deceased was born in Shade Township, Somerset County. He enlisted in the Federal Army at Harrisburg on February 12, 1864, in Company F, Fifty-fifth Regiment, P. V. Infantry. He was honorably discharged on March 16, 1865, on account of losing a leg at the Battle of Petersburg. After the War he removed to Indiana, where he resided until 1890, when he left for Washington to become night watchman at the sub-post-office on F street.
