At his residence in this place, on Thursday evening, Feb. 4th, 1868, after a brief but painful illiness, Thomas TEST, aged about 67 years.
The deceased was a native of Philadelphia. After arriving at man's estate he married and lived many years in the State of Indiana. Subsequently he returned to Pennsylvania and after a time settled in Ligonier. From Ligonier he came to Johnstown in 1851. During the past twelve years he has carried the U. S. Mails from the Post Office to the Railroad Station, performing his duties with conscientious and self-sacrificing tidelity. The immediate cause of his death was a severe cold contracted in the discharge of his official duties. He died without an enemy. We will all miss the old man.
