Mr. John Kane, a well-known and highly esteemed citizen of Allegheny township, died at his home at Kaylor's station, on Tuesday morning, March 17th, aged 65 years, ten months and 1 day. The deceased was born in Munster township, resided all his life in Cambria county, and was respected by all who knew him as a good citizen and an upright man. He is survived by his wife and six children, three sons; John, of Latrobe; Andrew, of Beulah, and Albert, of Munster township; and three daughters; Mary, wife of T. H. Howell; Clara, wife of Philip Cronauer, both of Gallitzin, and Sarah, wife of Hugh Kiser, of Lilly. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters.

His remains were interred in St. Michael's cemetery at Loretto, on Thursday morning, after a High Mass of Requiem for the repose of his soul. May he rest in peace
