Steve Barko's Funeral.
Impressive funeral services were held this morning over the remains of Steve Barko, the nineteen-year-old Slavish-man who died Monday morning as the result of having a portion of his head knocked off by the explosion of an emery wheel. The funeral was held from St. Stephen's Slavish Catholic Church, and the cortege was led by a young lady carrying a large cross of flowers and a young man with a large wreath. This was followed by the Slavish Band and the carriages. Six young men and the same number of young ladies acted as pallbearers. |
