|Bernard Salkeld, aged ninety-four years, died suddenly of heart failure at 3:30 p.m. yesterday at the home of his son, James Salkeld, in Dunlo, with whom he had been making his home the past winter. Mr. Salkeld formerly resided at South Fork, and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church there. Interment will be made in the South Fork Cemetery. The deceased served for about a year in the Civil War and the members of Daniel T. Stineman Post, G.A.R., of South Fork, will be in charge of the funeral. |
Mr. Salkeld was born in Fulton County, this State, and was married there. His wife died three years ago at South Fork, and since then Mr. Salkeld had been making his home with his children. He is survived by the following children: James, referred to above; John and Thomas, of South Fork, and William, Samuel, and Mrs. Mary Fessler, of Saginaw, Mich.
