Remarks:   GEORGE - Theodore F. "Dorry," 88, Lilly, was called to eternal rest, Friday, November 12, 1999, with his family at his side. Born July 19, 1911, the eldest child of Albert and Anna (Harker) George. His parents preceded him in death along with brothers, Kenneth "Pete," Elmer "Tookie," Everett "Chubby" and infant brother, Alvin. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Boylan) George, to whom he was married October 31, 1935, in Saint Brigid's Rectory in Lilly by Father Corcoran. Devoted father of Mary Ann, wife of Steve Suchta; Leroy "Fritz," married to the former Mary Pyo; and Theodore P. "Ted," married to the former Leona "Doodle" Sheehan, all of Lilly. A daughter, Beverly Ann, is deceased. Cherished grandpap of John Suchta, Lilly; Tom Suchta, Lilly; Mike Suchta, married to the former Linda Zacur, Cresson; Chris George, married to the former Danette Kodosky, Cresson; Tony George, married to the former Teresa Feathers, Cresson; and Ron George, Theresa George, Matthew George and Sarah George, all of Lilly. Loving great-grandfather of: Shannon Smith, Bridget George, Andrew George, Amanda Zacur, Colin Suchta, Donnie Feathers and Nathan George. Dorry was the brother of Sylvester "Buch," Baltimore, Md.; Mary Mallin, Lilly; Verda Austin, Baltimore, Md.; Althea Baer, Portage; and Reid, Cleveland, Ohio. He will be sadly missed by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many wonderful neighbors and friends. Derry was a lifelong member of the Lilly War Memorial Association, for which he was treasurer for 45 years, retiring in 1994; United Mine Workers of America, for which he held the post of financial secretary; Bearrock Sportsmans Club Association; and lifelong member of The Lilly Volunteer Fire Company. Derry was a coal miner for over 30 years and also managed Georges Service Station in Lilly for many years. The family will receive friends at the Thomas F. Cloherty Funeral Home, 531 Main St., Lilly, on Saturday, November 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, November 14, from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15, at 11 o'clock a.m. at the funeral home, with Father James Conrad officiating. Committal will be at Saint Brigid's Cemetery, Lilly.
