MRS. MARGARET HUMPHREYS.
Mrs. Margaret Humphreys, widow of David Humphreys, of East Conemaugh, died Friday evening, August 29th, in Wilkinsburg, where she had gone to visit her daughter, Mrs. E. C. Hollister. Mrs. Humphreys was in her eightieth year and had scarcely known sickness until within three weeks of her death, when she was taken suddenly ill. She was born in Allegheny County and had lived for a time in Wheeling, W. Va., and in Westmoreland County, but the greater part of her life was spent in Cambria. She was well known here and will be mourned by a host of friends and relatives. Her three children were by her side during her last illness: Harry, of Philadelphia; Emma, wife of Alex. Berkebile, of East Conemaugh, and Clara, wife of E. C. Hollister, of Wilkinsburg. The remains were brought to Conemaugh Saturday evening.
The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning from the home of Mrs. Alex. Berkebile, First street, Conemaugh, where the Rev. R. S. Calder, pastor of the Conemaugh Presbyterian Church, will conduct the obsequies. Interment will be made in Headrick's Cemetery. |
