Remarks:   Hunter, Sheldon E. "Tut," 81 Johnstown, died May 16, 2011, at Allegheny Lutheran Home. Born July 1, 1929, in Johnstown, son of John E. and Flora (Maurer) Hunter. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Evelyne Keafer, Miriam Golias, Jancie Gilbert and Gertrude Rager; brothers Robert, Wilbur and Richard; and nephew, Douglas Hunter; also brother-in-law, Calvin Ray Kissinger. Survived by wife of 53 years, Nancy (Baughman); daughters, Tammy, married to Thomas Howard; and Wendy, married to Mark Miller, all of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Patricia, married to Don Kipp, Richland, sister-in-law Jennie Kissinger; grandchildren Lea, Olivia, Shelby. Lifetime member of Westmont United Methodist Church. He loved flowers, traveling, and playing golf. He was a great supporter of the Johnstown arts. A 1947 graduate of Westmont High School, having lettered in football, baseball, basketball and golf. A U.S. Army Korean War veteran, having served from 1951 to 1953. He attended Indiana State Teachers College from 1953 to 1957, and received a master's from the University of New Hampshire in 1964. Member of PSEA. He taught math at Westmont High School from 1957 to 1991, where he also coached football, basketball and golf. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. Saturday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Pastor Kevin Rea officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery
