ICKES, Leo F. "Lee," 80, Jenners, died April 29, 1968, at home. Born March 9, 1888, in Elton, Pa., son of Chauncey and Rose (Eichensehr) Ickes. Survived by widow, former Grace Snowberger, and two stepsons, Leonard I. Beatty, Jacksonville, Fla., and Robert E. Beatty, New Philadelphia, Ohio; also sister, Mrs. Virginia Kirby, Somerset. Preceded in death by parents, and two brothers, Comfrey S. and Anson. Retired employe of Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal Co. Member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell. Treasurer and member of Local 6364 UMWA, Jenners. Veteran of World War I. Member of Boswell Post 4601, American Legion; Somerset Post 3218, Veterans of World War I; and Jenner Rod & Gun Club. Friends will be received from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph H, Hoffman Funeral Home, Boswell, where prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, followed by service at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell, the Re. George A. Clark. Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. There will be no viewing at the church. |
