JOHN SHIELDS DIES OF HIS INJURIES.
John Shields, one of the men injured in the recent converting mill accident at Homestead, died on Saturday evening at 6 o'clock, and his remains were brought to Johnstown yesterday for interment. His wife, who was a daughter of the late Patrick Minaban?, of the Fourteenth Ward, and three children survive. Deceased was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and of the Robert Emmett Literary Society, of Homestead. Beside holding a position in the Steel Works, Shields was Chief of Police in Homestead.
