Remarks:   Millard Ray “Mike” Swank, 83 of Indian Lake formerly of Stoystown died Nov. 29, 2014 at home. Born March 24, 1931 in Stoystown, son of the late Harold C. and Jane V. (Dinning) Swank. Survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Sarah M. Corbett; children: Pam married to Scott Dinner, Mechanicsburg, and H. Scott and friend Tammy Kelly, Indian Lake; grandchildren: Cullen and Lydia Swank and Sara and Sam Dinner; brothers: Daniel, Markleysburg, and H. Terry and wife Fran, Somerset; and special friends, Chuck and Bridget Laporta. A 1949 graduate of Quemahoning Stoystown High School and a Korean War Navy veteran. He was president of 3-S Coal Company and founder of Stonybrook Speedway. Life member of Stoystown American Legion Post 257. Member of Somerset Lodge 358 F. & A.M. and Harrisburg Consistory. He was a very benevolent man who people counted on in times of trouble. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Jane Metzgar officiating. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown with graveside military rites by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Obituary provided by Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Newspaper date unknown
