A well known resident of Millville, Mr. John Thomas, expired at a quarter past 8 oclock last evening, at his home on Iron street, after an illness, with Brights disease, of about 4 months duration. Deceased was born in Lelant, Cornwall, England, in 1822.He emigrated to this country in 1866, and remained about a year, when he returned to his native home and spent several months. In 1867 he again crossed the ocean and came to Johnstown, where he obtained employment from the Cambria Iron Company, as a miner, which occupation he followed until about one year ago, when his health began to fail and he found it necessary to seek other and less laborious employment. He leaves a wife and three sons, John J., and William H., married, and James single, all of whom reside in Millville. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Second Methodist Episcopal Church; also, of Alma Lodge, No 523, Independent Order of Odd Fellows P.G., and of Independent Castle, No 50, Knights of the Mystic Chain. Religious services will be held at the house at 2 oclock PM tomorrow. The large circle of Mr. Thomas acquaintances will be pained to learn of his death, which although not unexpected; will be none the less regretted
